No more tests? No more homework?

I have finally finished my certification for my job. I have one more seminar to attend in order to get the full certificate and I will be done. But I am done with all the homework, tests and stress that goes along with that. When I came home the other night after my test and told Kay that I was done, she smiled and said, "No more homework? No more tests? No more stress? No more seminars?" I just laughed. She picked up on so much. I told her yes no more test, homework and a lot less stress. I still have to attend seminars to keep up with the training but she's happy with the no more homework and books strewn all over my bed studying and cramming.

Once I get my piece of paper, I can be a full-fledged City Secretary. This job is so much more than just a secretary. I am busier than I ever thought possible. We have a council meeting tomorrow night and it will probably last until after 10. This is my life though. I have enjoyed learning everything and hope to move up soon. Keep those fingers crossed. But as for now, celebrating the tough part being done!!!

Catching Up....

Ok. So I am really not that great at keeping this thing updated. I resolve to do a better job in 2009.

So Christmas came and went and left a ton of stuff for Kaylee at my house. She had a great year. She is ready for any golf weather that is to come. She got every color of the rainbow polo shirt, pants, skirts and shorts. She needs a jacket but didn't like the one at the store. So we will wait. Santa brought her a pink Razor scooter and helmet. She has ridden that thing every day. She loves it. Doing pretty good considering she has never ridden a bike before and coordination is not one of her best traits.

Anthony got a bunch of golf stuff too. (Imagine that!) I think the man has every polo shirt at the PGA tour store. He almost needs another closet just for his golf attire. He says that he may stink at golf but at least he looks good. And hats and visors. He has one for each outfit. He also got a Witten Cowboys jersey but after their performance this year he may want to return that.

I also got several things I wanted/needed. I got some yummy perfume from Barneys!! I was amazed Anthony thought of that, until I found out he had help from some of our friends. I still love it. And I got things for the house and such. All in all we were very blessed this year.

Anthony's job is going great. Contrary to the economy, his business isn't doing half bad. Everyone needs gas I guess and his job is pretty secure. I finished my last course over the holidays and will take my final test for my certification on January 12th. I'm so excited. I have one more seminar to attend this year and will finally graduate in January of 2010. Then I am officially as good as my boss!! :)

Kaylee is doing well in school. Drawing, writing and reading up a storm. She is getting addition and subtraction down. Just takes a couple of tries sometimes. We are up to chapter books and she reads at least a chapter each night.

Anthony and Kaylee are now driving me nuts with the countdown to Disney. We leave in June. I hope I don't kill them first!! They are so excited. Let's hope this trip goes better than the one 2 years ago. At least we will have Jamie and Sarah with us to help Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde (Kaylee) in check. She'll do anything for Sarah.

Well hope that everyone has a wonderful year. I will keep this updated more, I promise. I hope to have family pictures soon. All our love.
